I am writing this post while eating nian gao or better known in the Philippines as tikoy.
Today is Chinese New Year and we are going to welcome the Year of the Rabbit with so much enthusiasm as both The Hubby and myself are born on a Rabbit year (1975).
Chinese soothsayers are not so hopeful about the coming year, though rabbit or hare is generally peaceful and amicable animal. Anyway, I only believe in good fortune and will shun all the bad spirits (and bad luck) by shouting Kung Hei Fat Choi!
I wish all my Chinese relatives, friends, colleagues and neighbors enormous luck all year round.
Tikoy naman dyan!!!
